A: Recycled Messmate is a rare and character-filled Australian timber, salvaged from old building sites across Victoria. Naturally aged for over 100 years in the walls and roofs of historic homes, it features striking sap lines, nail holes filled with epoxy resin, and a rich blend of pink, yellow, and brown tones. Each piece carries its own story — a beautiful, sustainable choice for timeless furniture.

A: New timber is sustainably sourced from local mills and kiln-dried specifically for furniture making. It offers a cleaner, more consistent look with minimal sap lines, making it ideal for modern homes. Blackbutt, in particular, features a warm orange-yellow tone and a uniform grain that adds a refined, contemporary feel.

A: Use a mild, pH-neutral soap diluted in water with a damp (not wet) cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals, vinegar, or abrasive cleaners.
